Its National Fragrance Week this week, a yearly event that focuses on increasing awareness of the fragrance industry and the role fragrance plays in each of our lives, so were taking you behind-the-scenes of Ashleigh & Burwood to see how we craft our fragrances from concept to completion.
Scent memories are the muses behind our new fragrances for Spring/Summer this year, including the sultry White Velvet. A glamorous blend of velvety white flowers and rich sandalwood, White Velvet is inspired by the favourite perfume of our Customer Operations Advisor Salvinas best friend a scent that is entwined with all her happy memories of their friendship.
We love gifting here at Ashleigh & Burwood, especially when it involves something as personal and timeless as fragrance.
Well be celebrating 25 years next year and we want to ring in our big birthday still looking our best. The Ashleigh & Burwood team have been hard at work behind the scenes redesigning everything from our logo to our labels and our gift boxes.
Weve spent this weekend in Harrogate, North Yorkshire at the annual Home & Gift trade fair. These trade shows give us the opportunity to meet and chat with the lovely people who stock our products all over the country and show them the new things we have planned for the upcoming months. This year was a particularly exciting show for us as it was the first time we had displayed the redesigned logo we created with the help of a calligrapher, which you can see for yourselves on our website and social media.
Spring Equinox at the start of this week means spring has officially begun and the days lengthen, the sun begins peeking out from behind the clouds and the first flower buds poke their heads out of the earth. This transition of the seasons also brings about a change in our homes as we seek to refresh them after the hibernation of the cosy winter season.

However, from beautiful frosty landscapes to cosy evenings in with a warming treat theres still plenty to love in November. Here are some of the scents that wed recommend for this month which remind us of everything we love about November.
Boozy fragrances are now officially en vogue with beauty giants like Marc Jacobs and Tom Ford releasing alcohol-scented perfumes. However, for many of us spending the day wafting around the scent of whisky is not exactly ideal. Another way to incorporate the trend is to bring the scent of spirits into the home, where the smell of the alcohol-inspired fragrance Cognac and Leather adds a relaxed and luxurious air.
If youre looking for a Halloween home fragrance thats a little more unique than the usual pumpkin spice, whipping up your own special scent may be the answer.
Ashleigh and Burwood Fragrance Oils (£2.75 each) can easily be mixed together to create a new, unique fragrance. The finished mix can then be sprinkled on pot pourri or a tissue or placed in an oil burner in order to scent your home.
There are plenty of Fragrance Oils to get creative with and mix into exciting new combinations. Here are a few spooky cocktails weve come up with for Halloween
