Summer meadow

Today is the summer solstice, a traditional festival marking the first day of summer for the Northern Hemisphere. While many of our summer plans are looking much different to how we thought they would at the start of the year, the beginning of the season and its welcome warm weather are still a cause for celebration. To help you welcome in the season, we’re sharing some of our team’s favourite fragrances to enjoy in the sunny weather, from cooling fresh scents to joyful florals.

Sicilian Lemon

Feeling fruity

“I love our Sicilian Lemon Lamp Fragrance, which is so light, fresh and sparkling that it cuts through summer heat. It brings to mind a vision of sun baked lemon groves on the island of Sicily, and an ice cold little glass of Limoncello liqueur!”

– Andrew, Managing Director

Sparkling sea

“I have the Sea Spray Reed Diffuser on my bedroom window sill.  Every morning when I open the curtains, it’s is the first thing I smell, and it’s gorgeous, fresh and outdoorsy.  Definitely makes you want to get up and about!”

– Lianna, Business Manager

Blooming marvellousTayberry & Rose

“I like using Tayberry & Rose in my Fragrance Lamp. It makes me feel like I’m sunbathing on a hot summer’s day with flowers in full bloom. I also love Velvet Plum & Cassis in my bedroom, the sweet fruity scent makes my mouth water and my room feel summery and welcoming.”

– Gabby, Brand Ambassador

Peaceful patchouli

Patchouli is one for the solstice – embracing the fragrance of 1960s festivals, India, love and peace. In other words all things spiritual, like Stonehenge at Summer Solstice.”

– Jackie, Purchasing Manager

Garden Mint

Minty freshness

Garden Mint is the fragrance for me at the moment. Reminds me of a Mojito which, let’s face it, is never a bad thing!"

– Carolanne, UK Sales & Customer Services Manager

Purifying fragrance

“I’ve recently rediscovered Fragrance Lamps. I live on a main road so with having the windows and doors open during the day I like to put on a Lamp to clean the air during the evening once we’ve shut up shop. For scents, I love a bit of Peony or Ice Spa in the summer.”

– Emma, Senior Account Manager
