UPDATE 1st December: Our sincere apologies if your order takes longer to arrive than normal. We have been advised by both Royal Mail and DPD that their networks are experiencing some delays in delivering orders due to a huge increase in volume of parcels being sent. We are working as hard as we can to despatch all orders as quickly as possible in order to minimise delays.
You probably dont have the same colour walls in every room, or the same furniture in your bathroom and your living room, so it follows that using one fragrance throughout your home may not be the best approach. Much like with the décor in your home, taking the function of each room into account is helpful when picking home fragrance. You dont use your kitchen and your bedroom for the same purpose, so the same fragrance wont necessarily work in both.
Here are some of our tips and tricks for picking a beautiful fragrance to compliment every room, but keep in mind that there are no real rules when it comes to home fragrance!
Lets start with the room where most of us begin our day. The bathroom is a place for cleaning and preparing yourself for the day ahead, so a fresh, revitalising scent like Pink Grapefruit or Sea Spray is a great accompaniment. Most of us wont be spending a lot of time in the bathroom, so opt for the fuss-free but long lasting fragrance of Reed Diffusers.
Ideally you shouldnt have a super strong fragrance in the kitchen as fragrance can often influence our sense of taste. You may only want to fragrance the room after cooking, in which case a Fragrance Lamp will help eliminate any unwanted food odours. On the other hand if you do want continuous fragrance in the background, a Reed Diffuser with only a few reeds to reduce the scent will add a little extra fragrance without becoming distracting. For your fragrance choice, seek scents similar to the natural smells of the kitchen like Herb Garden or fruity Watermelon & Cucumber.
The living room is often the main entertaining space in the home as well as a room in which plenty of your time is spent, pick a fragrance that matches your tastes and personality to tailor the space to you. To create ambience and mood its also a good idea to vary fragrances throughout the seasons, such as green florals for spring and spicy and warming scents in the winter. A Fragrance Lamp will keep your living room fresh from pet smells or smoke and deliver impressive fragrance for entertaining, while Scented Candles help create a cosy atmosphere during evenings in.
Your bedroom is, most importantly, the place when you sleep, so steer clear of scents you find very invigorating. In the evening you can also use fragrance to enhance your sleep. Lavender aids relaxation and sleep so a few drops of Bedtime essential oil with lavender and sage in a Scent Hub can help you relax before bedtime.
