Learn a little bit more about the Ashleigh & Burwood team - this week we're meeting Debbie, who's worked at A&B for over 20 years, and Jo who's one of our newest team members.

How long have you worked at A&B? 23.5 years! I joined fresh out of university and have never left! During my time with the company I have undertaken many different roles and it’s been a pleasure to see the company grow and flourish into the successful business it is now
Tell us something about yourself: My son has just finished his first year at senior school which has made me feel very old! I’m also a slightly crazy cat lady! 😻
What are you working on right now? We’re still knee deep in AW23 product launches as we have so many exciting new lines coming out this year. We’re also in touch with some exciting potential new OEM clients, so it’s great to help them make their ranges come to life.
Your go-to method to fragrance your home: I’m a candle fan and find nothing more relaxing than having a candle or two alight each evening, even with the doors open in the recent lovely weather! There’s nothing quite like the ambience of a glowing candle within a room, and my cat loves a good sniff too!
Your favourite fragrance: I’ve always been a fan of our Peony fragrance but recently have discovered our beautiful 30th anniversary fragrance, Pearl Magnolia & Neroli, which is an amazing addition to our range!
Your best home scenting tip: For an instant burst of fragrance in a room, use a room spray and then follow this with a scented candle or fragrance lamp to keep the scent lasting longer.
Share a scent memory: I used to love the smell of freshly cut grass as it smelt so refreshing. To this day it makes me think of summer and longer days which always make me smile 😊
What is your highlight of working at A&B? I love working closely with both my teams to make products and ranges come to life.
What are you most looking forward at A&B? I’m looking forward to seeing how the new product launches are received once they arrive in our warehouse. I’m also looking forward to a slightly less frantic time in a month or so, with a much needed afternoon of fun and games at our annual summer BBQ.
Jo, Area Sales Manager for the South West & South Wales
How long have you worked at A&B? 2 weeks!
Tell us something about yourself: I live by the seaside and enjoy walks with my dog Ossie. We have the beach and woods a short walk away and some beautiful countryside around us. In my spare time, I enjoy furniture upcycling and I’m always on the lookout for my next project!
What are you working on right now? I am visiting retailers across the region, existing stockists and new. There are lots of exciting new product launches to discuss and Christmas orders are being finalized. It’s been so nice meeting new people and also seeing some faces I recognise.
Your go-to method to fragrance your home: I am loving the fragrance lamp - this is a new concept to me and I wish I’d discovered it years ago!
Your favourite fragrance: I love Pink Pepper & Tonka and White Cedar & Bergamot. But White Christmas has to be my favourite – it’s gorgeous!
Your best home scenting tip: Turn your reeds on your diffuser for an instant boost of fragrance.
What is your highlight of working at A&B? I’m sure I have lots of highlights to look forward to. The team at A&B have been so welcoming and I’m so happy to be part of it.
What are you most looking forward at A&B? The summer party when I get to see everyone let their hair down!
